| Ground coriander | 1 tsp |
| Paprika | 1 tsp |
| Salt | 1 tsp |
| For the sauce: | |
| Butter | 2 tbsp |
| Onion | 1, finely chopped |
| Garlic cloves | 2, minced |
| Tomato paste | 2 tbsp |
| Canned tomatoes | 400g |
| Ground turmeric | 1/2 tsp |
| Chili powder | 1/2 tsp |
| Heavy cream | 1/2 cup |
| Fresh coriander | For garnish |
| Salt | To taste |
| Pepper | To taste |
- Preparation:
- In a bowl, combine yogurt, lemon juice, ginger garlic paste, garam masala, ground cumin, ground coriander, paprika, and salt. Add the chicken pieces and marinate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.
- Preheat the grill or broiler. Thread the marinated chicken onto skewers and grill or broil until cooked through.
- In a large pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook until softened.
- Stir in the tomato paste, canned tomatoes, ground turmeric, and chili powder. Simmer for about 15-20 minutes, then blend until smooth.
- Return the sauce to the pan and add the grilled chicken pieces. Simmer for another 10 minutes.
- Stir in the heavy cream and season with salt and pepper to taste. Simmer for a few more minutes.
- Garnish with fresh coriander and serve with rice or naan bread.
