  • Ingredients:

Yogurt1/2 cup
Lemon juice2 tbsp
Ginger garlic paste2 tbsp
Garam masala2 tsp
Ground cumin1 tsp
Ground coriander1 tsp
Paprika1 tsp
Salt1 tsp
For the sauce:
Butter2 tbsp
Onion1, finely chopped
Garlic cloves2, minced
Tomato paste2 tbsp
Canned tomatoes400g
Ground turmeric1/2 tsp
Chili powder1/2 tsp
Heavy cream1/2 cup
Fresh corianderFor garnish
SaltTo taste
PepperTo taste
  • Preparation:
  1. In a bowl, combine yogurt, lemon juice, ginger garlic paste, garam masala, ground cumin, ground coriander, paprika, and salt. Add the chicken pieces and marinate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.
  2. Preheat the grill or broiler. Thread the marinated chicken onto skewers and grill or broil until cooked through.
  3. In a large pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook until softened.
  4. Stir in the tomato paste, canned tomatoes, ground turmeric, and chili powder. Simmer for about 15-20 minutes, then blend until smooth.
  5. Return the sauce to the pan and add the grilled chicken pieces. Simmer for another 10 minutes.
  6. Stir in the heavy cream and season with salt and pepper to taste. Simmer for a few more minutes.
  7. Garnish with fresh coriander and serve with rice or naan bread.
