Crab sticks | 100g, shredded |
Japanese omelette | 4 slices |
Soy sauce | For dipping |
Wasabi | For serving |
Pickled ginger | For serving |
Rice vinegar | 3 tbsp |
Sugar | 2 tbsp |
Salt | 1 tsp |
- Preparation:
- Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Cook the rice according to package instructions, then let it cool.
- In a small bowl, mix rice vinegar, sugar, and salt. Fold this mixture into the cooked rice to make sushi rice.
- Place a sheet of nori on a bamboo sushi mat. Spread a thin layer of sushi rice over the nori, leaving a small border at the top.
- Arrange your choice of fillings (fish, avocado, cucumber, crab sticks, omelette) in a line across the rice.
- Roll the sushi tightly using the bamboo mat, starting from the bottom edge. Wet the top border of the nori with water to seal the roll.
- Using a sharp knife, slice the sushi roll into bite-sized pieces.
- Serve the sushi with soy sauce, wasabi, and pickled ginger.
